Win Signed CD’s of Clannad’s latest album

Clannad first rose to prominence in the early 1980’s following the success of the dramatisation of Harry’s Game, for which they wrote and performed the theme. Over the subsequent 40+ years of their career they have won many awards including a Grammy and an Ivor Novello, and this year were honoured with a Lifetime Achievment Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

Their signature sound of traditional Irish music entwined with modern and electronic influences, a haunting combination of mesmerizing vocals and ethereal sounds, has captured a worldwide audience and Clannad has sold over fifteen million albums to date.

Comprised of siblings Moya, Ciaran and Pol Brennan, along with their twin uncles Noel and Padraig Duggan, the band began life performing in the family owned tavern in a remote part of North West Ireland although the latest album, Nadur, is the first since Past Present in 1989 to feature all five original members.

Clannad are playing the Ipswich Corn Exchange on the Tuesday 14h October and we have four signed copies of Nadur to give away, courtesy of the venue.
